Snickerdoodles

Mix together thoroughly:

1 cup soft margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs

Sift together and stir in:

2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.
Preheat to 400 degrees.
Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned.. but still soft (about 8-10 minutes).
Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
